Manchester is exceptionally well connected by rail, with frequent services from London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and many other UK cities. Manchester is easily reached via Manchester Airport, one of the largest and busiest airports in the United Kingdom, located just 15 km from the city centre. The airport offers direct flights to numerous destinations across Europe and worldwide.
It is easily accessible from the city by regular train conenctions, tram, or taxi, with a travel time of approximately 20–30 minutes.

Getting around - Metrolink
In Manchester, there’s an excellent tram network called the Metrolink and a good mix of buses and local trains. The official app for public transport in Greater Manchester is the Bee Network App, which allows you to plan routes, check live tram times, and purchase tickets for trams and selected buses. Available on App Store and Google Play.
Tip: Manchester’s Metrolink trams are contactless — you can simply tap in and out with your bank card or phone; fares are capped daily.
